Module 1: Advanced Firearm Malfunction Remediation
- Beyond Basics: Mastering complex firearm malfunctions (e.g., squib loads, catastrophic component failures, magazine issues beyond standard reloads).
- One-Handed & Injured Shooter Malfunctions: Clearing stoppages and continuing the fight with limited limb functionality.
- Optic & Sight Failure: Engaging targets accurately when primary aiming systems fail or are obscured.
- Weapon Damage Control: Strategies for keeping a damaged firearm in the fight or rapidly transitioning to a secondary weapon system.
Module 2: Critical Gear & Equipment Failure
- Holster & Carry System Failures: Drawing and re-holstering safely when equipment malfunctions or becomes damaged.
- Magazine Retention & Presentation Issues: Addressing pouches, lost magazines, or damaged magazines under stress.
- Light & Communication Failure: Operating effectively in low/no light without primary illumination, and maintaining tactical communication without electronic aids.
- Improvised Solutions: Utilizing available resources to mitigate gear failures.
Module 3: Environmental & Positional Challenges
- Extreme Weather Operations: Adapting tactics for rain, mud, high winds, or extreme temperatures.
- Unfavorable Terrain & Obstacles: Moving, shooting, and managing gear on uneven ground, slopes, and over/around obstacles.
- Compromised Positions: Effectively engaging threats from disadvantaged or injured positions (e.g., prone, supine, constrained spaces).
Module 4: Adapting to Unexpected Adversary Actions
- Ambushes & Dynamic Threats: Rapidly recognizing and reacting to unexpected attacks from multiple directions or unknown sources.
- Escalating Resistance: Overcoming subjects who unexpectedly become highly violent or present new threats (e.g., producing a hidden weapon).
- Threat Overload: Prioritizing threats and maintaining operational effectiveness when overwhelmed by multiple adversaries.
Module 5: Mindset, Decision-Making & Contingency
- Stress Inoculation Drills: Controlled exposure to high-stress scenarios to build resilience and maintain cognitive function under duress.
- Rapid Problem-Solving: Developing the ability to quickly assess complex situations and implement effective solutions when initial plans fail.
- Contingency Planning & Branching: Always having a “Plan B,” “Plan C,” and knowing when to transition between them.
- Mental Toughness & Resilience: Cultivating the psychological fortitude to continue fighting and leading when morale is low or obstacles seem insurmountable.

Prerequisites:
- Proof of prior tactical firearm training (e.g., “Defensive Handgun & AR Shooting” or equivalent advanced courses).
- Proficiency in safe firearm handling and basic malfunction drills.
- Ability to perform moderate to intense physical activity.
- A mature mindset and a willingness to be pushed outside your comfort zone.
Course Duration:
2 Intensive Days (16+ Hours of Instruction) – This will involve extensive range time and scenario-based training.
What to Bring:
- Reliable defensive handgun with at least 3-4 magazines.
- Reliable AR-platform rifle with at least 3-4 magazines.
- Quality outside-the-waistband (OWB) holster for your handgun.
- Magazine pouches for both handgun and AR magazines.
- Sturdy duty belt.
- Minimum 800 rounds of handgun ammunition and 800 rounds of AR ammunition.
- Eye and ear protection (electronic ear protection highly recommended).
- Comfortable, durable clothing suitable for dynamic movement and all weather conditions (layers recommended).
- Closed-toe athletic footwear or tactical boots.
- Hydration system/water bottle and snacks.
- Duty-grade flashlight.
- Kneepads and gloves (recommended).
- A positive attitude and a determination to overcome adversity.
